Qualifying from the University of Worcester during the Covid-19 pandemic I started my career as a Trauma and Orthopaedic nurse at The Alexandra Hospital, Redditch. I later transitioned to a Urology ward, where I discovered a deep interest in the complexities and importance of urology care in nursing.
In 2023, I joined University hospitals Birmingham NHS foundation trust as a Placement Support Sister within the School of nursing and Midwifery. In this role, I supported nursing students throughout their clinical placements, working closely with Higher Educational Institutes to ensure high standards of learning and practice. This role has ignited a passion for teaching, coaching, and professional development within the future nursing workforce.
Having recently joined the University of Worcester I have real passion when it comes to teaching the Skills and simulation. I feel it gives the students a real-life experience of what it will be like working as a nurse within the acute or primary care settings. It helps build confidence and support’s their nursing development.
I have recently completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and plan to complete my master’s degree in the future.
